I often deal with my own case of Being Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide… I’m sure you know the story…
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a novella by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson first published in 1886. The work is also known as The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, or simply Jekyll & Hyde. It is about a London lawyer named Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde. The novella’s impact is such that it has become a part of the language, with the very phrase “Jekyll and Hyde” coming to mean a person who is vastly different in moral character from one situation to the next.
There is a side of me That often means to do the best for me and others, and the one who battles with many demons, I ask that that good prevails, and have seen both fight at each other. In prayer I ask God that I do the right thing, that the dark side is kept away from achieving what may cause harm. Even when many obstacles tell me to go go in the right direction, the dark side tends to keep going at any length… God loves me, I know he does, Moral of my story is… God the good lord knows your true heart, and he will allow what is good for you and those around, In our prayers we ask for help and in the circumstances, we find the answer.
I haven’t read the book, I have seen the movie, living with bipolar disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks, this is extreme and by knowing both sides, I communicate with both and Thank God for the good in me, I like the good side of me best, the man who can at the end of the day can look at everyone else with his head raised high, proud of doing the right thing.
